Welcome to episode 33 of the Free and Fearless podcast. This will be a short but empowering one. I have one simple point to make, which I’ve shared with my audience many times before. But wanted to dive deeper into its real meaning, how I apply this principle in my life, and how much it improves the quality of my lifestyle.

Tune in below:

It’s totally okay if you don’t share that opinion. Many people don’t, and that means they won’t be a good fit for the entrepreneurship lifestyle and mindset. Or at least they won’t enjoy the business model I’ve chosen.

But here’s the thing: I believe that how you make your money is more important than how much you make.

This isn’t a sentence I thought of, but a quote I heard from Gary Vaynerchuk many years ago. I can’t find any mention of it now so maybe he just said it in a video or it was in a book or something. But still it’s crucial that I give him credit. He said it well.

I also know many other entrepreneurs who say this, but don’t live by it. So that’s quite inauthentic.

I live by that rule though and the last year is the perfect example of it.

I just published my year in review and annual income report.

The conclusion was that I earned $8K less in 2021 than I did in 2020, and actually my income was lower than in the last 3 years. But I was happier, lived a better life, traveled more, got all the things I wanted to and did whatever I felt like. I also invested in my business more than ever. Both years were during a pandemic so the outer factors were the same.

In 2021 I also had more progress in my personal and spiritual growth than ever. I started dreaming bigger and am entering 2022 with a vision that would have scared me just 2 years ago. You’ll hear more about that soon, but let’s say I’m about to massively upgrade my lifestyle and environment before my income has grown.

So, back to the point I wanna make today. My business started as a hobby. It wasn’t about money then, it’s not about money today – 7 years later, and it won’t be when I hit 6 and 7 figures either.

Money is a byproduct of all the time and energy put into such a special project, and it’s directly related to my level of personal and spiritual growth.

I’m one of those people who don’t just teach you how to start and grow a business. I don’t want you to just start any business or to follow the money.

I want you to follow passion.

Your first or second passion project might not be profitable, but if you stay on that path, you will get to it. The rewards then are much bigger than the income.

When I take decisions in my business, money is rarely the first factor I consider. I’ve found out that quick or easy money is a risk we don’t understand, and it costs us a lot down the road.

For example, many people enter a profitable niche only to end up being bored to death. At some point they won’t have any more content ideas, won’t enjoy talking about the subject and creating products around it. So the business will slowly die.

Others choose a business model based on what’s trendy. And even if they get to 6 figures in 1 or 2 years, they end up creating yet another job for themselves as they work too much and need to...]]>

Introducing The Master Blogger Bundle

After spending years creating products that help bloggers at every stage of their journey (starting the blog, growing the traffic, monetizing in 4 different ways, designing the website, email marketing, SEO, Pinterest, etc.), I now combined them in a business bundle so you can grab them all at a reduced price.

If you’re wondering what a bundle is, well it’s a collection of programs, usually courses but it can be any other products. And they are sold together at a discount.

So if you’re ready to start your first blog but aren’t sure what the right course for you is and whether it has everything you need, if you want to have all the blogging resources to help you launch and scale a blog business, without ever needing another course or template, or you just want to get 2 or more of my products for bloggers but at a discount, now you can. That’s why I created the Master Blogger Bundle.

Let me tell you what’s inside.

What’s inside the course bundle?

With the course bundle, you get access to 3 online courses, a workshop, blog audit, a toolkit and printables. Basically, all the resources you need to launch your blog, grow the traffic and income, create a remarkable content marketing strategy, build your sales funnel, turn your blog into a full-time business, have passive income streams, get your blog audited by me + get a personalized growth action plan.

That’s a total of $1234 (when purchased separately). But with the bundle, you can get all these resources for $888 (you save $346!!!)

And here’s the best part: if you’ve already paid for 1 or more of the products in the bundle, that amount will be extracted from the final price.

So if you just wanted to get your hands on some of the other products inside, you won’t pay anything extra. You just need to contact me so I can give you a special discount code.

Now let me share the actual products in the Master Blogger Bundle:

* my signature blogging course Blog to Biz System that teaches you how to start, grow and monetize a blog, and scale it to 5 figures;* a course on content marketing and branding, Fearless Content, that teaches you how to create content aligned with your true self and uplevel your brand;* the Blog Sponsorship Boss, a course on how to start making money with sponsored blog posts, find and pitch brands, and get paid every time;* a professional blog audit of your website and blogging strategy so you can stop doing anything that doesn’t help you grow, get suggestions on how to improve and next steps to take;* a blog income toolkit that contains an eBook and templates to help you grow your revenue (such as done-for-you email series, brand email pitch, lead magnets, media kit template, and more);* a workshop called Blog Income Boost th...]]>

Happy New Year, I hope it’s your best one ever. That’s what I plan to make mine, regardless of outer circumstances, because we might be dealt certain cards every year, but we get to choose how to play them.

Today’s episode is something I promised I would share, and it’s sort of a tradition. Every January, after I summarize how my year in business went and calculate all the numbers, I publish an annual income report.

I’m looking at most things in life in a totally different way than I did a year ago. I’ve expanded my consciousness and trained my mind to believe new things that are aligned with my vision for the next stage of my life. In theory, this was hard. Once it became my new reality, I’m seeing the benefits and it feels so good.

Let me share a few quick updates too. Since the last episode, I launched my new course The Blog Sponsorship Boss which is all about making money from sponsored blog posts, finding and pitching brands, negotiating and getting paid every time. I’m now releasing one module per week, Module 3 is in the works now and will be released on Monday. This kept me productive during the holidays as I gave my word to the students who enrolled that a new module will be waiting for them every Monday.

So regardless of how I felt, the traveling, the time I spent around family back in my home country and what else happened unexpectedly, I showed up. I created the content, designed the presentations, recorded the lessons, edited what needed editing, added bonuses and little details to make sure each module serves students well. This is an example of how my business keeps me disciplined and teaches me a whole new level of responsibility and self-trust.

This time of the year can bring many unresolved issues, so here’s what I have to say about that.

Earlier this month, I dug deeper into my business numbers.

I was doing my November income report, preparing my new course on blog sponsorships, but also wondered how much I’ve earned since 2018 (as that’s the first year when I began tracking every number in my business and publishing a detailed monthly income report on the blog).

I was curious how much of it came from blog sponsorships alone. I spent some time diving into the numbers and had a lot of fun with them.

Then I looked at the total amount: $128,386

This was a cause for celebration. We’re often so focused on the current month, our revenue goal or the next launch, that we fail to celebrate the other numbers and milestones in our business.

For example, I’ll never forget the first time I had a $5K month as a full-time blogger.

I’ll also never forget the feeling of hitting over 1 million page views on the blog (that was in 2019).

Replacing my income from freelance writing with the revenue from the blog back in 2018 was the Freedom milestone for me as it meant I never had to work for clients anymore.

But one thing has always stood out, mostly because 80% of bloggers (big or small) have no idea how it works, whether it’s legit at all, and how to get started with it.

That’s blog sponsorships – the special income stream I created early on that has been paying my bills ever since, and which sort of feels like passive income as it gives the freedom to work on anything else I desire (in this case, my online course business).

Let me and my blog be the proof that earning from blog sponsorships is a real thing and anyone can do it.

This is also a good example of why I say owning a platform such as your own blog on the Internet is powerful AF!

Most give up early on, others want quick results and get discouraged quickly. But those who keep growing the blog (for years!), know what it means to reap the benefits.

We’re talking passive income streams for the rest of your life, building a name for yourself, starting any new business you feel like and still using your blog as the foundation of your brand.

I’ll keep it real, as always, and I’ll discuss why this business model isn’t for me and why the other one I’m so in love with – being a course creator – is perfect for me.

I’m definitely not telling anyone not to become a coach, but most often we just hear about the benefits of this business model. I have enough coaches around me to know why this isn’t something I want and how it will affect my lifestyle, my mood, my work and so much more, in a way that actually gets me further way from the kind of business that I’m building.

1. I don’t like working 1:1 with people.

The first reason why I’m not a coach and why I’m not planning on becoming one is because I don’t like working 1:1 with people, not as a student and not a teacher.

It’s just not for me and I believe that we should all do work we love. Of course there will be administrative tasks and more technical stuff we gotta deal with, but your day to day activities as a business owner should be something you’re really good at. It should be what comes naturally to you, what gives you energy, and puts a smile on your face.

Having a coaching session with someone would exhaust me, I won’t look forward to it. I won’t be happy and energetic for the rest of the day.

2. No calls or deadlines.

Reason #2 is closely related to the first one – I don’t want any calls and deadlines in my business. I’m just not that type of person and I’m okay with it.

I know it’s the opposite of how the world works today, but freedom and doing things my way were always priorities for me. Keeping things the way I like is also how I can serve my audience, how I can make the most of my time and skills, and keep providing value.

Most people tell me I’ve created more content than they’ve seen from any other blogger or business owner in general. One of the reasons why is that I stick to the kind of content I love. Mainly written content, which is blog posts in my case, and lead magnets. But also courses and the podcast.

I can keep going forever, as long as it’s on my terms.

If I had even 1 coaching call a day,]]>

The Role of Passion in Business

Your business is your way of leaving something behind, achieving financial independence, being totally free and flexible, and helping others. But passion is the fuel that gets your there.

It’s the thing that allows you to take up on new challenges and enjoy every step of the process.

It’s what allows you to work crazy hours when you’re building a business, and not complain about it.

It’s what will help you have a full-time business and build a lifestyle you absolutely love thanks to that. It might take some time, but as long as you stay in the game, there’s no other chance but to win.

The failure rate of startups is 90%. Which means most businesses fail. Some see that as a discouraging fact. But I know why that is. Most people simply give up.

There are 1000 reasons to give up, if you look for them. But if you’re passionate about what you do, it also means there’s no reality where you won’t do it. Most people, me included, admit that we would do that work for free. And we usually do, at least in the beginning.

Passion not only gets you started in business but it keeps you going forever.

That’s something that no business degree, investor, business plan, or amount of initial capital can even measure up to.

My mentors in life and business are people I’ve found online who are all self-made entrepreneurs, living their best life, and growing every single day. They are passionate about what they do, and – honestly – I don’t think I can ever learn from or invest in someone who isn’t that.

This passion in business helps you relate to your ideal clients. It lets you be as real as possible and this is magnetic. I can immediately spot who’s real in their content, branding, products and just how they share their story online.

I have no time to spend on their blog, listening to their podcast, checking out their updates on social, or buy a product from them if they aren’t real. It’s just not what I’m looking for.

But those that I truly admire are the people I keep on my mind daily. I know how they started from nothing, how they had $0 in their bank accounts when first starting the business.

1. Find clarity

Identify anything in your current life, environment and way of thinking that isn’t what you truly desire or which doesn’t resonate with you. Start eliminating ruthlessly.

Then, define what you want, make a plan, and start working on it.

When my personal growth journey started, I spent enough time to realize that, to be honest with myself, to define what I really want and make a step-by-step plan on how to get it, here I am.

Waking up with excitement, having a smile on my face while working, writing daily – which is my favorite thing. Inspiring people and being productive and disciplined without needing anyone to make me do any of it.

But it wasn’t until I found out my passion – personal development, combined it with the best way to express myself and the right medium for me – writing, and read everything I could on how to turn that into something more.

Then, I found out that freedom and independence were more important to me than I thought. I did what I could to become self-employed and location independent.

So barriers like country, having a boss, working a job I don’t enjoy, being stuck in an office 8 hours a day, being told what to do, having to wake up at a certain time, just don’t exist anymore. Because I did what I could to remove them.

My point here is: elimination is one of the key processes in life,]]>

If you try to speak to everyone, you end up speaking to no one.

I’m not going to tell you to niche down. That works for some, but it doesn’t for others.

My point here is that you need to know who you are talking to and create content that solves their problems. Use their language, overcome their objections with your copy, and just help them as much as you can.

Your skills and your products won’t be a good fit for everyone, and that’s okay. In fact, they might only serve a small group people, but you can still build a profitable business this way.

Knowing your ideal client makes your life easier too. Because now it will be easier to decide what product to create, how to structure your offer, how to price it, what free content to have, and even what platform to share it on knowing that your people hang out there.

Use the right tools.

At first, I used the wrong ones. That was because I didn’t have any budget but also I didn’t treat my work as a business, I didn’t make it a priority.

That’s why I was dealing with a bad hosting provider for years, didn’t have access to quality stock images or any other graphics, was using a free email marketing tool and wasn’t growing my list.

I sort of always knew what the best tools in my industry were and I knew that one day I’d invest in them, but I was putting that off as much as possible and it cost me a lot.

Because the moment I signed up for these amazing services and platforms, I never looked back. Sure, the annual payment in the first year or two wasn’t easy. It was scary, but it’s what has allowed me to take everything else that I do online seriously and prioritize quality.

Not to mention you sleep better knowing that your website won’t be down, your email list is growing all the time, there are automations in place, and when something happens, you get to talk about it with the best customer support teams out there.

Make your course lectures short and actionable.

The next one of my top business lessons is for anyone who’s created a course or is about to create one.

Not only will this provide a better experience for your students,]]>

First, what exactly is a signature offer and how is it different from the other products you’re selling?

Well, it has a few distinctive elements.

Inside your signature product, you provide more value than anywhere else. I mean, it can’t compare to your free content, or a 5-page guide you have, webinar or even an eBook. It must be next level.

It’s where you provide the biggest transformation to your audience, and of course it’s priced higher than your other products.

It’s a complete program. You might have a start course that helps beginners in your niche take the first few steps, get clarity or achieve one specific result.

You can also have a slightly more in-depth program that covers one topic in detail and solves the problems people have related to it. But still, after competing that course, the students will have to do more research and learning, will need more support, or might invest in another program if they want to reach the next level.

A signature program, however, has all they need. It doesn’t leave them wondering what to do next. They get almost every question answered and support on different levels. They trust your guidance and you give them all the information necessary to go from A, which is their current situation, to B, the desired result.

Such a course involves a framework – the structured step-by-step process you teach that he...]]>

How to Drop The Employee Mindset

[below is the transcript of the episode]

Today I want to talk about something that I see way too often. It’s about people who are in their first year in business, or second or third, who aren’t at the level they wanna be even if they have a regular income online.

They do the work, they often hustle more than those with a profitable business actually, and yet, nothing seems to work.

There are different factors at play, but most of them fall into one category – these people run their business with an employee mindset. This is dangerous because it means you’ll never reach your potential, what you create won’t be sustainable, and you won’t really be able to enjoy the unlimited freedom and income that self-employment can give.

Here are some ways to stop thinking like an employee:

1. Managing your newly earned time freedom.

The first thing I notice that’s really typical for the employee mindset is that new business owners don’t know what to do with all these hours they have in their day.

Let’s say you’ve just quit your job and went full-time in your business. There’s no one telling you when to start work, how many hours to do it and what to work on. You take all the decisions and have all the responsibility, and that can be mentally and physically exhausting.

One of the biggest perks of being self-employed is reclaiming your time. You now have time freedom, what are you gonna do with it?

This is the moment many people realize they don’t like that much freedom. Some say their mental health suffers after a few months or a year of working for themselves and from home. Even after they find hobbies, have their social life, travel, and do anything they feel like, something’s just missing.

But business isn’t for everyone and doing this for 1 year is a good experiment to tell whether or not you want to continue.]]>

1. Release an offer

Maybe you’ve never done it so far. You might be learning all you can about business, having many ideas, even an actual plan on what to launch and how. But is there an actual offer you’re inviting people to grab?

Like, is there a product? Is there a way they can work with you 1:1? Do you have a page about it on your website? Did you let your audience know? Did you send enough reminders to invite them, to help them decide if it’s the right thing for them, to get them to the sales page and check out what’s inside?

If not, you aren’t selling. And without that, chances are you aren’t getting any further.

Not only do you need to have at least 1 offer, but you need to be perfecting your messaging, updating the content inside, growing your audience and promoting that same offer to them in a way that speaks to your ideal client.

If you have an offer already, maybe it’s time for another one. Are you launching something at least once every 3 months? It’s easy to get stuck in a rut after one attempt and then just wait for things to happen. But your email list won’t just grow on its own, your sales page won’t just get traffic, and new people might not even know what you offer.

So there’s a lot you can be doing at any moment to grow your business and to sell and promote what you currently have or what you’re planning to release some time soon.

2. Raise your rates.

I talked about this in episode 20 so you can check it out...]]>

1. How I structure my days

First, I wanna talk about how my days go and how I manage my time and energy.

After so many years of working from home/remotely/living the laptop lifestyle/being location independent (or however else you’d call it), things look a little big different today than the early days.

People are often curious how I structure my day, how I stay productive and motivated, and hell! – how I even stay sane and find the momentum to keep going.

The real answer is: there were never 3-6 months in my line of work that looked or felt the same. And I love that!

Also, a quick reminder before I share the actual details: there’s no right or wrong, and what works for me probably won’t work for you.

At the end of the day, the work schedule, structure, number of hours you put in, how much you get done, what tools you use, etc. – all these are just outer factors and will change all the time. YOU are what keeps going and what moves your business forward, so do YOU!

According to my human design, I’m made for a consistent environment. Coming back to the same place daily gives me structure and peace and allows me to perform well. And it makes sense that when life gets more exciting or when I’m traveling, work is the last thing on my mind.

But at the same time, I digest the world passively (HD reference again). This means I crave flexibility in terms of working hours, projects, and how my days go. These things aren’t something I should plan, but instead I can follow my desires and still get a lot done.

That’s how I do things now and I’m living in alignment. Hey and welcome to episode 20 of the Free and Fearless podcast. Today I want to talk about something that almost anyone in business can resonate with – not charging what we are worth.

I will explain why this happens, what the consequences are if we keep doing it, why you should increase your rates NOW, and how to price your products and services based on the value you provide not on the time you invest, what your customers can afford or any other factor.

This will hit home with many freelancers, bloggers, coaches and anyone selling a product.

With this episode, I want to show you that you can take your power back, that you don’t need to follow what others in your niche are doing or telling you to do, that you can give yourself permission to raise your rate and that this one step can lead to reaching your income goals sooner than you thought was possible.

We all do work we love, we put in the time and effort, and have the expertise. And when it comes to asking what we think we and our work are worth, we get it wrong.

Here’s why that happens;

* we compare ourselves to the big names in the niche, think we’re nowhere near their quality work and reputation, and charge much less than they do;* we still aren’t sure we’ll make it on our own;* we don’t believe in our products or services as much as we should;* we aren’t sure about the ‘why’ behind the work we do;* we don’t feel comfortable taking people’s money;* we still think like an employee;* we think a higher price will raise customers’ expectations so much that we won’t be able to answer that with our offers;* we base what we charge per hour, or per item, or else. Basically, anything else but the value we provide and the transformation we help the person achieve;* we keep in mind the clients’ budget and don’t want to make them take big financial decisions, so we decide that a much lower price would be a no-brainer.

If you look closely at all those reasons why we underprice our products and services, even though we’re answering a need in a specific market and care about the work we do for clients, you’ll see that the underlying problem is that we aren’t confident enough.

That can be crucial for our business. Here’s why.

The Consequences of Underpricing

1. A proof for low quality.

The first consequence of underpricing is that we are basically telling people what we have is low quality.

One of the common rules in any business is that the customer gets what they pay for. And when you charge less, you are directly telling each and every potential client of yours that you’re offering them lower quality.

Blogging mistake #1: Not choosing a niche that is in demand.

Choosing your niche is one of the most important steps you will take and that happens before you actually set up your blog.

While it’s best if you find what you’re passionate about, that’s not the only element which plays a role. You want to have a successful blog that makes money and for that, you need a niche that’s profitable.

Regardless of how many other sites in the same industry you can find online, yours can still grow and become popular enough and be the foundation of your business. So please don’t choose a niche without doing a bit of research.

If you know my story, you know I began with Personal Development because it’s what I’m reading and writing about the most. I wasn’t making any money during these first years.

But the income became regular once I also covered Business and Finance. That doesn’t mean I’ll stop writing about productivity, spirituality, motivation, reaching goals in life and building good habits. No. I just combine all this and that’s why Let’s Reach Success is a multi-niche blog. Some can also call it a lifestyle blog.

That path will make it harder for you so it’s always best to pick a profitable niche from day 1 and start creating content around it. Because it’s your blog we’re talking about, you can always write about other things that interest you and share your story, but always find common grounds with the niche you’re in. There must be a connection.

In my case,]]>

There are many people you can listen to and learn from online. Almost all of them have a ton of free content and amazing paid programs you can invest in.

But how do you choose the right ones? How do you avoid scams? How do you know the investment is worth it and that it’s the right thing for you at this stage of your business?

From my experience, it all comes down to this:

* Follow the entrepreneurs who’ve built the kind of business you want and are living the life you want* Choose the ones whose personality and way of thinking resonate with you* Listen to those who aren’t trying to convince you that you need to buy from them, or that you Need anything at all* Learn from those with a proven track record (e.g. many years in business, features on different platforms, hundreds of posts/podcast episodes/videos that you can binge on, social media profiles that go way back to their early days in business, mentions and testimonials, etc.)* Listen to the self-made entrepreneurs who openly share their mistakes, debrief their failed launches, show their numbers then vs now, and have nothing to hide* Enjoy the free content of those who overdeliver, who leave you wondering ‘If that’s how much value I get from their free stuff, where can I be 3 months from now if I pay to work with them?’

But what if you have the right mentors and just aren’t sure who to invest in, or whether a particular program is the right investment for you?

I just had a beautiful, game-changing and scary moment 2 weeks ago because I invested $3K for a business program. That’s Business By Design, which is the signature program of one of my mentors, James Wedmore.

This is a big deal for me, something I’ve decided a few months ago and the transaction was sort of already made in my mind. I just waited till the doors opened (which only happens for a few days once a year).

So, how do you know when it’s time to invest?

Here’s what I came up with:

You need to not just have the money, but be absolutely ready to invest it (regardless of your current financial situation).

You need to trust the person, their brand, team, followers and program so much,]]>

I can say that any person I’ve learned from over the years, anyone I’ve been interested in – be it for a friendship and just because they are somehow magnetic and I want to be around their energy, or because they have this really great business or have created something that I admire – well, they were all definitely weird.

By that, I mean they had different interests than average people. They created their own path and because of that, many judged them.

Such people are often misunderstood, they are deep, they do things differently and that gets attention in society and can often be disapproved. That’s because you’re a whole different category that goes together with different needs, expectations, interests, and mindset.

Such people rarely have a lot to talk about with anyone average. They might take risks in life, start businesses, be into personal development and spirituality, and feel like they don’t fit in for most of their life.

Until one day, one of the most important realizations takes place – they understand that they will never fit in, and most importantly, they don’t want to and they don’t need to.

To fit in means to live a life that’s expected by others, not one that truly satisfies you.

The moment you believe that, you then start focusing on what’s unique about you. You devote even more time to the unusual topics that engage your mind, the hobbies that make you lose track of time, the people who understand you, no matter where they are in the world or how few of them you can find now. You slowly get close to the extraordinary lifestyle you were meant to live in the first place.

In business, you stop following the strategies that worked for everyone else. You stop following the shoulds, you stop trying to be less weird in your branding and content. You let go of all the false beliefs and the rules someone created, and you start finding all the answers within.

You turn your business into something different – a business that no one else can replicate, because you are its biggest asset and no one is like you.

Then you might start covering different topics, infusing more of your personality in your content, going bold with the design of your website and the copy you use. Targeting a different audience, making a big investment, doing a crazy 18:08 603586

I’ve always avoided selling, but let’s face it, that’s what makes a business profitable.

Even if you’re freelancing, you’re selling your services. If you’re an influencer, you’re selling yourself. If you’re a blogger, you’re doing affiliate marketing or selling your own products, like I do.

As a product-based business, obviously selling is the main thing happening. As a coach, you’re selling your paid offers hoping to land amazing clients and grow your income

But there are things you can do to feel comfortable doing it. Once it feels natural, you can boost your confidence in sales and raise your rates, release more products, create multiple income steams, target high-ticket clients, and so much more. Selling is a skill, which means we can all get better at it.

Being in the course creation business for around 2 years myself, I had to do a few things differently if I wanted results.

It feels like yesterday that I felt so uncomfortable selling. I didn’t want to bother my audience with too many emails promoting my courses because I didn’t want to annoy them or turn people off.

I was avoiding selling. That’s why I didn’t have any actual live launches prior to the one from last month when I released my course Fearless Content. Over the course of 7 days, I did nothing else but to show up online and send emails and post on Instagram and enjoy the process. I was at my best, high-vibe and providing value knowing that this product could change people’s lives.

Same goes for the affiliate campaigns I’m promoting these last months. There was one I just finished. It was a bundle of courses and one of my programs, 21:51 603339 The Dark Side of Entrepreneurship (& How to Love Every Part of The Journey) https://letsreachsuccess.com/dark-side-entrepreneurship/ Mon, 03 May 2021 19:50:00 +0000 https://letsreachsuccess.com/?p=547992 Hey and welcome to episode 15 of the Free and Fearless podcast. I won’t mention anything spiritual, I won’t talk about the different business models, about alignment, about creating your dream business or anything like that.

I will be absolutely realistic, more than some people might like. But here’s the thing – we can keep talking about the benefits of starting your business, of the different ways to make money online. I can keep sharing success stories of business owners on my blog, and I can keep sharing what I learn along the way and how your business income allows you to build an amazing lifestyle.

But whatever you try, there comes a moment when it gets hard.

Even if you have the discipline, even if you think you are prepared, even if you have a community and enough support, even if you take courses, have coaches and are ready to invest.

No matter what, there is a certain point where it gets unpleasant. That’s when most people give up. If not then, many give up at the next level, when it gets even harder.

I’ve always believed that life is a series of problems. You’re doing well when you are solving the problems you’ve chosen.

If you’re starting or growing a business, you’ve chosen this. You’ve taken the decision to deal with all that comes with it. As it is with anything else in life, there will be aspects of it that you won’t enjoy. There will be periods that nothing could prepare you for, and there will be many, many reasons for you to give up.

That’s why entrepreneurship isn’t for everyone. I know that more businesses than ever were started during the pandemic, and with everyone being at home, ready to learn and invest, it might seem like it’s easy.

You might see all those people crushing it, earning a lot in their first year, signing high-ticket clients even though they literally just became a coach. I’ve seen this too.

But the pandemic will be over, a new normal will be here, and these new business owners will have to adjust all over again. Their business isn’t yet sustainable.

One good month doesn’t mean you will sleep peacefully knowing there’s income coming for the rest of the year. And whenever I talk about business, even though I don’t earn much compared to many others, I always mean creating a freaking recession-proof business. One that is exactly how you like it, which brings you the ultimate satisfaction on a daily basis, which is literally your dream business and which allows you to have the lifestyle you desire.

So today, I’m going to discuss the dark side of entrepreneurship.

Dark doesn’t need to mean bad. It’s just not easy.]]> Lidiya Kesarovska 15:58 547992 6 Steps to Building a Content-Driven Business https://letsreachsuccess.com/building-content-driven-business/ Wed, 14 Apr 2021 17:30:46 +0000 https://letsreachsuccess.com/?p=602984 Hey and welcome to episode 14 of the Free and Fearless podcast where we’ll talk about one of my favorite topics - growing your business thanks to content and the value it provides. I believe that the content you create is one of the key elements of what you’re trying to build online. Regardless of your niche, goals, ideal client, income, the platforms you use and how you make money, your content matters.

It’s what can help you build your expertise and monetize it, serve your purpose, attract the right people and make a difference in their life, get known online and build a magnetic and powerful brand.

But there’s more to content and the role it plays in your business. You get to write or talk about the topics that light you up and that’s a good enough reason to wake up happy every morning and be excited to open your laptop. It’s what brings your unique energy, and when that’s combined with the right strategy for you and your audience, you can make big things happen.

Content creation and content marketing are the foundation of everything I’m doing online. I’ve always been blogging, I was also freelancing, podcasting, I had books, now mostly courses, and I create content all the time, for different purposes and platforms.

The format, the goal, the target audience, the monetization strategies – these can all change. But a few things always remain the same and they are why I say I run a content-driven business.

Something that gives me joy, provides me with the income necessary to live my ideal lifestyle and there are countless opportunities for growth. It’s why people stick around and are surprised by the amount of content I can produce. The depth of some articles and podcast episodes. The impact of some programs or even social media posts. The value that’s been given away week after week, and the authenticity and passion behind it all.

Today, I want to share the components of a value-driven business. Because the content you create will be your legacy, your most favorite activity, what helps your dream clients or students transform their lives, what makes you the go-to person on the topics you’re good at. And what helps you stay in business – and even grow – even if there’s a pandemic, recession or anything else that usually affects businesses.

Creating content is like making magic.

It’s a process that shouldn’t feel like an obligation, shouldn’t be something you avoid or try to do perfectly. It’s a moment of pure mindfulness and joy, in which you simply create knowing that this will reach the people you’re meant to serve.

These people are why your business exists. That’s why it’s your mission to not just create your best content and show up consistently, but make sure all your business activities and decisions are based on proving value and being your most authentic self.

There are many people who might tell you that you should never stop hustling as a business owner if you want to scale. Others will tell you that you can build an aligned business from the start without ever working longer hours, being overwhelmed or experiencing negative emotions.

Everyone’s journey is different and yours will be unique too. That’s why it’s important to only take what resonates with you. In this episode of The Free and Fearless Podcast, I want to share more about the 2 phases in business – the hustle phase and the alignment phase, why both are necessary, how and when to enter each, and examples from my hustle period that aren’t that pretty but which I have nothing else but gratitude for.

I believe the hustle phase helped me build certain qualities such as discipline, the ability to put my business above many other things, to rely on myself, to trust that no matter what, I can still make it, to wake up early or stay up late and be laser focused on my work.

To build the mindset necessary to make those first $100, then $1000, then make that monthly and manage it well. Because the rules of managing money don’t magically change when you get to a bigger income. So you need to have some skills and qualities that you can take with you down the road when you hit milestones you never dreamt of, receive amazing opportunities, live the lifestyle your business will provide, and run your dream business that creates impact and makes your day meaningful.

My experience looked like this: I hustled for a long, long time. That got me to my current level, doing work I love, having the exact business model I want, living in my favourite country where I relocated thanks to my income, being able to adjust things so I can only work on what lights me up.

It has provided all I want in terms of freedom, lifestyle, independence and work flexibility, and for that I wake up grateful everyday. I also have no doubt that I earned this. By being in front of the laptop when nothing was happening, when no one else in my life understood what I was doing or why. When I doubted myself to make anything happen, when there was such a big gap between where I was and where I wanted to be.

I kept going and I did the inner work, which as I often say, is 90% of the work.

But a business is meant to evolve on its own. And to unleash its potential, and more of mine, I started surrendering. Because the bad side of the hustle phase is that you’re resisting a lot of things. You aren’t letting growth and abundance in and that’s why you might stay at the same level even if it seems like you’re putting effort all the time.

With that (and some personal aspects of my life that also needed less resistance and more trust in the process), 22:36 602917

I gathered all the information I’ve heard and read about hiring (cause you know, every business book, podcast, course, shares a bit on that too). In the last month, I also listened to the exact podcast episodes by my favorite entrepreneurs and mentors where they share how they built their team, how their first hire went, what mistakes they made, and what their advice is for anyone out there hiring for the first time.

From all that, I took what resonated, as well as relied on both intuition and logic, to start outlining my exact hiring process and taking decisions in advance.

So far it’s going well. I actually learned more about business over the course of 1 week than I did in months in the past. That’s because I got out there and:

* published the job post saying exactly who I’m looking for* let people reach out to me* heard what they had to say* we chatted a bit, which led to having my first impression of them* I created a Google form with the right questions so I can narrow down the candidates* checked out the websites, social media and packages that some of them offer* and outlined my next steps.

I’m not used to working with people but I really felt ready for this. I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, but it wasn’t till I got back from my spontaneous vacation in Spain, totally recharged and with a new perspective, that I said to myself: ‘No more thinking about hiring. I’m doing it. It’s a step-by-step process and I start by deciding what I want to outsource first, who I’m looking for exactly, what that person can bring to the table, how I can offer them the most amazing long-term collaboration, and where I should post about the offer so that others who’ve already decided they like my business and want to work together can reach out to me.’

Before my vacation, I was scared, overthinking, and not really taking any actual action. I let fear guide me.

After this so-called mini retirement, where I took a step back from all business activities and could clearly see what I’ve been afraid of, I took decisions that weren’t based on fear. They were simply what’s best for the business.

Because I’m now ready to take more responsibility, even if that means some of my freedom will be taken away. I have a lot of it now and I’ve enjoyed it all these years.]]> Lidiya Kesarovska 22:28 602840 Freelancer vs Blogger vs Course Creator: Which Business Model is Right for You? https://letsreachsuccess.com/freelancer-blogger-course-creator/ Mon, 22 Mar 2021 04:43:17 +0000 https://letsreachsuccess.com/?p=602756 Welcome to another episode of the podcast. I am where I am today thanks to being a freelance writer first. See, I didn’t believe I could make money from my own platforms, or in any way online for that matter, back in the days.

I had just started this hobby blog on personal development and wanted to write and publish content. That gave me so much satisfaction that I was learning more about ways to earn from your writing as I could maybe turn it into my career and use that income to not just do what I love, but also move out of my country and start a new life somewhere else.

You can go back to episode 1 if you want where I share my business journey. There I talk about how my income goal was $80/week. Once it started happening, I was shocked. It also allowed me to increase that number eventually, to charge more, and to want to earn from my blog.

But client work is what my first business model was.]]>

How to Take Mini Retirements Thanks to Your Lifestyle Business

I haven’t published an episode in a while and there’s a good reason for that. I took a sabbatical. Out of nowhere, without any plans or preparations. I escaped lockdown in the Netherlands by getting a one way ticket to Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, which is the place to be in Europe during the pandemic if you want to be at the beach, see palm trees, feel the amazing Spanish culture, be around people, and explore the beauty of the island.

I brought my laptop and mic, ready to record course lectures and podcast episodes, answer any email coming my way, and do work during the week, even though I didn’t have to.

I didn’t do almost any of that. There are nearly 200 emails waiting to be answered, module 3 of my new course Fearless Content is ready to be recorded and shared with the students currently enjoying early bird access, and my people expect to hear from me weekly with fresh content and an email.

Instead, I spent all my time at the beach, doing trips to the volcano, on catamarans and to a nearby island, making friends with locals and digital nomads living there for a few months, being outside as often as possible, and taking pictures of every palm tree I saw, literally, because I love them so much and because that was the first time I’m traveling to such a beautiful place since being an iPhone owner.

And yet, my business is still here. No one is requiring anything from me. I earned $6K in February, which makes it a better month than others in terms of income. I got new features, connected with new people online, generated business growth ideas, saw things from another perspective, and let all the knowledge from courses, books and podcasts from the last few months of hard work and self-education sink in.

I stopped working and reading and learning, but I was living, socializing and literally resetting my mind more than I did in the whole last year.

I know many of you crave the same sort of freedom. Because owning a business or being self-employed doesn’t necessarily mean you can do this kind of travel, take such spontaneous decisions or time off your business, without worrying your income will drop.

So in this article, I want to share why that happened.

Obviously, I’v...]]>

Hey beautiful and welcome to another episode of the show. I’m so happy you’re here and if you’re new, welcome. The fact that you wanna be authentic already puts on the right path. Here's what you'll hear in today's episode:

Let’s talk about authenticity in business and building a trustworthy brand.

The fact that you wanna be authentic already puts on the right path.

How to Be Authentic in Business

Before we get into the action steps I wanna share with you, let’s just quickly define what authenticity really means here.

In its simplest form, it’s about being real, being your true self.

Not copying others even though you should be learning from entrepreneurs and successful people all the time and apply that knowledge to your life.

But let’s be honest, we know when we’re genuinely taking some principles or following someone’s advice the right way. And when we don’t add anything original or just create a business model or content creation strategy based on what others told us or are doing, but which simply doesn’t feel right for us.

You don’t feel satisfied, you wonder why things aren’t working out for you and everyone else seems to be seeing progress. You become negative, you start hating the journey and not trusting the process.

This just shows you’re out of alignment so let’s be happy these signs are so obvious. Then we can just question our beliefs, our actions, the way we do business, and look at it from a different perspective.

Being authentic usually works best when you stay true to yourself no matter where you are, who you’re with, and what you’re doing.

Even when you’re alone with your thoughts, you should be living the way you want, practicing what you preach, and really trusting yourself.

Living an authentic life has its challenges of course, especially in the beginning when you’re transitioning to it and no one else around understands why you’re doing things differently now. But the end result is something so beautiful, so natural and which can help you thrive in life and business.

What authenticity is not

I’m sure you see it everywhere, and most importantly, you can feel it because it’s fake. Some might cover it really, but when you look below the surface, you see it’s just not who you wanna surround yourself with.

After being active on Instagram for a few months now, I noticed a few things.

First, many people were surprised how I do things. They asked me why I share so much free content, they expected me to be a coach and sell stuff all the time just because that’s trendy now. They didn’t understand my approach and didn’t get the idea of providing value without asking for money in return.

That showed me that not everyone is doing it.

I’ve been approached by too many people who just slided into my DMs, didn’t care about me and didn’t even take the time to check out my website, but tried to sell me stuff and to even convince me I need them t...]]> Lidiya Kesarovska 11:38 602437 How to Make Using Instagram for Business Fun https://letsreachsuccess.com/instagram-for-business/ Fri, 29 Jan 2021 18:50:00 +0000 https://letsreachsuccess.com/?p=602331 Welcome to another episode of the Free and Fearless podcast. How to Use Instagram for Business

I’ve used Instagram for business a few years ago but then I was doing completely different things from now. I was posting motivational quotes and my content was related to personal development.

I wasn’t showing my face and got a certain amount of followers, but it just didn’t lead to anything. It was absolutely pointless.

So I left it behind and literally didn’t even log into my business Instagram account for around 1,5-2 years.

During that time I was using my personal Instagram account but not that much, and I was growing my blogging business.

But in 2020 I decided to finally get out of my comfort zone, focus on branding and marketing, and just get out there.

One of the decisions I took, other than re-branding my site and starting the podcast, was to also go back to using Instagram for business. I wasn’t sure how to go about. An I was also having a hard time managing my personal account and the business one, as I didn’t want people from my personal to know about my business one, and vice versa.

That was actually causing me stress so I had some final decisions to make as I didn’t wanna spend time switching between accounts and hiding from some people while engaging with others.

I knew I wanted to go all in on my business and didn’t really enjoy using my personal account, so I deleted it. I focused solely on the business one, only followed people I admire and wanna learn from and start...]]>

“My #1 struggle with my blog is consistently putting out content and seeing traffic grow.”

Many people are quite productive with getting new content out there but then wonder why traffic isn’t coming. It’s important to spend as much time promoting the content as you do creating new one.

Pinterest, for example, is a great source of traffic for bloggers and even with a few short posts (but on good topics) you can get traffic. If you’re utilizing Pinterest, there’s a lot to learn about it. But optimizing your profile and boards as well as creating beautiful Pins (5-6 for each blog post) is a must.

How many posts do you currently have?

Because many people have plenty of content and wait till they have more to monetize. But you can monetize from day 1, especially with affiliate marketing. Because once that traffic comes, you’d want to make sure there are already affiliate links to the article you brought people to.

One of the most common questions I get is about finding the right niche for your blog. In fact, that’s one of the main reasons why so many women out there haven’t started a blog yet.

They either aren’t passionate about anything or have many interests and aren’t sure which can be their main blog topic. Or they get obsessed with finding the perfect, most profitable and in demand niche and they think once they find it, they’ll start that blog and the traffic and income will start coming their way.

But it doesn’t really work this way.

So in this first section of the episode, I’ll gather a few questions on that exact topic and if you have some trouble finding a niche or want to cover more categories on your blog but aren’t sure which, well listen up.

“How do I know if my idea is a good subject?”

That person told me: “I’m looking for change in my life. I love writing. I’m always reading about different subjects. How do I know if my idea is a good subject? Where do I go from here?”

And my answer is this: You love writing and want a change. You explore different subjects but want to know if your idea is good.

That’s the process of ‘finding your niche’ which happens right before starting a blog or any other online business. And here are some tips:

You can start a blog on a topic you’re passionate about and which is in demand and write content (if many other blogs exist in the same niche, that’s good). It will attract people interested in the same and they’ll see you as the expert because you’ll know more about them on the subject.

Because you’re passionate about the topic, you’ll also enjoy writing content on it not just for the first few weeks of your blog’s existence but for years.

That’s what I did. I started my blog Let’s Reach Success on the topic of personal development many years ago, but since then it’s evolved and now covers Online Business, Finance, Blogging, Lifestyle Design.

2020 was probably the saddest year for all of us.

Even if you weren’t directly affected by the pandemic (although that would make you pretty lucky because I think for the first time since I remember, everyone was affected negatively even if indirectly), but – even if you feel like you weren’t – well so much bad stuff was happening all around you that your daily life just wasn’t the same.

Social interaction became limited, there was lockdown in most big countries in the world and everyone was stuck at home, any of your loved ones could actually get the virus at any moment and you yourself needed to be careful not to spread it without knowing.

This is our new normal now and people can be divided into a few groups.

Those who were so affected that survival became their main thing – and let me say this – if you’re listening to a motivational podcast on business growth like this one – you’re blessed.

Then there’s the people who lost their job, weren’t motivated to do anything, became antisocial, indulged in all lazy and unhealthy habits possible, and watched the news and complained.

Then, there’s the people who were okay with it and focused on their families, hobbies and work.

Another category includes the entrepreneurs whose businesses were in the right niche or who pivoted strategically so they grew their revenue and reach more than ever.

And last but not least, there’s 1 pretty awesome type of people – the ones who saw the opportunity 2020 provided, with all the stay-at-home time, remote work and education, courses and coaching at your fingertips, and they said, “This is it. This is the year I will invest in myself and build something online.”

So, maybe they took a course and followed all the steps. If they already had a hobby that they knew could be monetized or wanted to do what they did at their regular job but for themselves this time, or maybe they started from scratch and followed their intuition to start a business on a topic they are passionate about serving the audience that needs to hear what they have to say.

Or maybe they read so much about this, whether it’s a blogging business, being an influencer, having a podcast, writing a book or teaching something online, and took the steps necessary to get the business off the ground and started growing their audience, building an email list and getting better at marketing.

If you’re one of these people, congrats girl. You’re amazing. You create even more opportunities and can help other women with the work you do, the value you create in the world and the services or products you provide.

Hey and welcome to episode 2 of the Free and Fearless podcast.

You’ll now learn the steps you can take to find a business idea and turn it into a profitable venture (while still working full-time).

All this can happen in your free time and without any prior experience in digital business. But make sure you don’t skip a step as each of these is a stepping stone to doing things right and actually making money as an online business owner.

I’m choosing this topic, out of so many others I can cover, for the second episode of the podcast, because people constantly contact me and whether it’s to ask for blogging advice, coaching, personal development, content creation or else, I see they usually lack this – they aren’t sure how to turn their passion into an actual online business. Or maybe they are passionate about many things but aren’t sure which of these can be turned into something serious, profitable and which provides value to others.

Many of my course students, for example, are already bloggers, influencers, coaches or freelancers, but they don’t really know the business part of it.

They aren’t sure what’s the difference between doing something online as a hobby and then earning a bit from it and having clients, and actually becoming a business owner and doing the real work.

So, I’ll now cover the main elements of an online business, regardless of the model you choose. Each of these is important and skipping a step might mean not being able to grow or maintain your business.

Especially now with the pandemic, it’s more necessary than ever to not just do random things online, but actually create something sustainable, recession-proof.

That might mean evergreen content, entering another niche, making your business more flexible, providing a different kind of service, or packaging your knowledge and creating digital products. There’s a lot we can do.

For now, let’s just see what it takes to actually start a real online business.

All the things I’m about to share with you today can be found in a checklist I created for you. Grab it for free below:
